My daughter and son-in-law and their children. They are such good people and work so hard. I feel pride that they are who they are. Home and family are beautiful.

Outdoors is where I really seem to find myself. I love the woods of the east, the desert which is my current home, and the mountains. I have been always an explorer at heart. To sit alone with the smells, sights, and sounds of nature, in harmonious connection, not intruding but being one with...that for me is Nirvana on earth. It is where I love to meditate, what makes me feel at one with the whole.

Inside my own head, which can be a dangerous place to be sometimes. I tend to withdraw into my thoughts when I am hiding. I have learned the true value of meditation and letting go of all the "head chatter." I still struggle with pulling away from the world instead of just relaxing within it. Music, also for me, is a way to hide. The type of music I listen too is totally dependent on my mood and reasons for wanting to disappear.
